A Guide To Choosing A Gas Grill

Who really knows why food eaten outside tastes better than that eaten inside. And, who doesn't love the smell of a hamburger on the grill. It's the official smell of summer in my family. We can't wait to enjoy the flavor of foods cooked on the gas grill. Cooking on the gas grill is the only kind of cooking my husband will do, and I love that. He handles the meats or fish or vegetables that are cooked on the grill, I handle the rest of the meal inside. Then we get to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the fruits of our labor. If you haven't ever used a gas grill you're in for a treat. As much as we love charcoal, the smell and flavor we hate the mess and the uneven cooking. With a gas grill there's no mess to clean up afterwards and your gas grill will hold an even temperature so that you can easily cook roasts, chickens, and even turkeys on the gas grill.

Stainless steel are the most popular of gas grills. Stainless steel is actually a perfect choice for a grill as it requires little care. It doesn't chip and rarely rusts. Stainless steel is easy to clean as it's a non- porous surface, so it's perfect for food prep as it doesn't harbor bacteria. Some says that a quality stainless steel can last over 100 years. The inside components of your grill will be worn out long before that.

When you go out to purchase a stainless steel grill you're going to be amazed. Amazed at the options, and at the prices. Believe it or not some stainless steel gas grills run $3000 or more. Most people don't need a $3000 grill. Generally grills in this price range are professional grade and much larger than you would ever have a need for.

Decide what type of accessories you want. Do you have a need for side burners? A rotisserie? A built in refrigerator inside the stainless steel unit? How large of a cooking surface do you need? It's wasteful to buy a huge gas grill and not need the space.

There are many fine brands of stainless steel gas grills on the market today. Some of the better known manufacturers are Weber, Vermont Castings, Char-Broil, Broilmaster, Fiesta, and Ducane. As with any major purchase it's best to do a bit of investigating before you make your decision. There are consumer research reports that say that although the $270 Char-Broil grill isn't as stylish as the $500 Weber that it cooks just as well. That could be a savings of $230,and that goes a long way towards buying thick juicy steaks to enjoy on the grill, and that's what its' all about anyway.
